David oversees the management and development of Pinellas County Schools’ television station. David joined WPDS-TV14 in July 2005, after spending 21 ½ years at WFLA-TV-Newschannel 8. David was the team leader for television sports at WFLA, in charge of the day to day operation of the multi-media sports division. David has won four Emmy awards for local sports coverage, in addition to numerous national awards for Super Bowl, Olympics and other major sporting event specials.

Bob is a product of Pinellas County Schools and has been part of WPDS-TV14 since 1997. His primary focus is as producer/writer/editor for the newsmagazine portion of PCS Journal and the popular music program Student Measures. Anthony has produced many additional programs for WPDS-TV14 and has several awards to his credit for his efforts. Prior to returning to Pinellas County, Anthony graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee and spent many years in television there and received national recognition for promotional production.

Allen started with District on December 1, 1980, as a film inspector, then became an audio/visual technician. At that time he was also trained to be a videographer for documentation videos. In 1989 he became the technician for our new television station, operating equipment to be transmitted via microwave to our tower in Largo. At that time Ch. 14 broadcasted from 7 am to 11 pm. In 1991 our department moved to present location in Largo. Allen has stayed with WPDS-TV14 ever since. Presently Allen runs Master Control as our Media Production Technician, serving three cable companies and our low power station.

Scott Barnum is the producer of the WPDS’ award winning Friday Night Hi-Lights. Scott joined the school system in July 1994 and in January 2006, joined WPDS-TV14. Scott has certifications in Networking, Webmaster, Computer repair, and currently finishing his degree in Television Production at St. Petersburg College. Scott also produced A Salute to Pinellas County Schools’ American Veterans which won a bronze Telly Award.

Dale produces videos for the Title I Program. He works with Title I schools, helping train students and teachers in video production, providing audio/visual support, and videotaping and editing programs to meet the schools’ video needs. He also works with district reading, math and writing staff developers producing videos to assist them in teacher training.

Patty has been with Pinellas County Schools for over 20 years. She started out in Central Printing and then on to be the graphic artist for Channel 14. Her primary duties include the schedule for WPDS-TV14 and maintaining our web site wpds.tv.

Elizabeth is the video production coordinator for WPDS-TV14. Elizabeth oversees all the multi-camera and live productions for WPDS. In addition, Elizabeth also is a producer, editor and videographer of many video projects. Elizabeth has been employed by PCS for over 20 years, starting out in the Information Services department as the staff photographer before moving to Channel 14. Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Communications from University of South Florida.

Linda has been with PCS for 18 years and has worked as a data prep clerk and a secretary/bookkeeper at an elementary school before coming to our department in 1998. Linda oversees all office responsibilities and is the initial contact for information about our department. If you have questions about production requests, A/V loan equipment, production billings or general questions, give her a call.

Larry is the producer of Digital Learning and the Support Employee of the Year programs for WPDS-TV14. Additionally he video tapes and edits projects as assigned. He joined the staff in November 1998 following a 38 year career in commercial radio and television sports broadcasting. Included in his background is a 25 year play-by-play career with the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins television networks. His work experience includes football, basketball, boxing and hockey assignments for CBS Radio, NBC television, ESPN and the University of Florida football television network. Larry’s work has been cited for excellence by the Michigan Associated Press, Detroit Emmy’s and Florida SUNSPRA. He has been published by The Sporting News, is a past member of the Western Michigan University Foundation Board of Directors and past president of the Mid-American Conference News Media Association.

Since his arrival to Pinellas County Schools in 2006, Mike has produced and directed specialty programs for WPDS-TV14, utilizing students as talent and crew for such shows as All Teens Workout and Teen Cuisine, both award winning programs, since his arrival to Pinellas County Schools in 2006. Mike also auditions teens each month and invites them to become a part of ‘their’ TV channel. Mike brings to the table 21 years of experience in all facets of television production, including two years as a TV/movie extra in L.A. He is known for producing quality, educational and informative programming for viewers of all ages in the Tampa Bay area.
